Coronado is a small island
town in San Diego Bay, approximately 7.4 square miles in size, connected
to the City of San Diego by the San Diego-Coronado Bridge and to the City
of Imperial Beach to the south by State Highway 75. The town is the
neighbor of Naval Base Coronado which includes Naval Air Station North
Island, home port for two aircraft carriers and the Naval Amphibious Base
where the elite SEALS are trained.
Downtown Coronado boasts
unique shops and many restaurants serving residents and visitors. Three
destination resorts and many small hotels offer a variety of
accommodations. And our award-winning beach, recently ranked second best
in the country by the Travel Channel, is a special jewel.
Recreation and Aquatics Programs
Offer recreation programs that
include Pre School Recreation Classes, Acrobatic Classes, Holiday
Camp, Junior Golf clinic, Youth Basketball league, Teen Program and
Events, Youth and Adult Recreation Classes. They also offer aquatic
classes for all level, diving classes, synchronized swimming
classes, American Red Cross Classes and Water Aerobics. For a list

Coronado was established in 1994 because of a love of, and a concern
for animals. The Gallery prides itself on its relationships with its
artists, and with its clients.

Explore Ferry Landing
Marketplace at the foot of First Street with its shops, restaurants and
stunning views of downtown San Diego. You can also take a 15-minute ferry
ride between Coronado and San Diego. Ferry leaves Coronado every hour on
the half hour.
Options for getting
around the island include walking, driving, renting a bike, taking a
pedicab ride, taxis, the city bus, gondola, trolley, Coronado Shuttle and
Coronado Ferry. The Visitor Center can provide information about the
different options.

main street. Coronado has more than 80 cafes and restaurants, offering
seafood, American fare, ethnic cuisine; many offer outdoor dining so you
can also enjoy Coronado s enviable weather.

Coronado has its own community theater group which performs at the
Coronado Playhouse on Strand Way. Lamb s Players Theater is located on
Orange Avenue and is the city s professional theater group. Call the
