Outdoor Recreation
With
near-perfect weather and a diverse landscape
encompassing beaches, mountains and deserts, San
Diego is a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts:
-
Parks - At 5,700 acres, Mission Trails
Regional Park is one of the largest urban parks in
the United States. Downtown offers more than a
dozen parks ranging from the North and South
Embarcadero Marina Parks with harbor views to the
Horton Plaza Park in the heart of the city.
-
Biking/Hiking - San Diego has miles of
designated bike paths, as well as several bus and
trolley routes that accommodate bicycles. Cuyamaca
Rancho State Park is a popular destination nearby
for its 110 miles of hiking trails. Downtown's
waterfront boardwalk and linear park along the
railroad line are ideal urban trails.
